The policy is issued in three languages: Polish, English and Russian. You do not need to pay for a translation.

I bought Wiener insurance. What should I do if I fall ill?

If you fall ill, it is best to call Wiener’s 24-hour helpline straight away on +48 22 501 33 33. You can also find the number on your policy. The operator will assess your condition and refer you to a clinic for cashless treatment. Alternatively, you can pay for treatment yourself and submit a reimbursement claim with your medical documents.

Are there any catches or hidden legal pitfalls?

Wiener’s product provides broad cover. We do not use fine print. The general insurance terms (OWU) clearly describe what is covered and what is excluded. Read the documents carefully before taking out insurance.

How can I pay for my policy?

Online - with BLIK or a Visa/Mastercard through PayU. You can also buy a policy for cash at our Warsaw office (ul. Nowogrodzka 31, suite 414), or arrange other payment methods by phone.

What if I want a stamp on the document, like in the old days?

Accepted Answer

Under Polish law, a stamp is not required on an electronic document. If you need one, visit our Warsaw office - an agent will stamp it free of charge. We can also send a paper copy for an additional fee.

Question 8

Is this insurance suitable for a residence card in Poland?

Accepted Answer

Yes, if you choose cover of at least EUR 30,000. The policy must remain valid throughout the proceedings and for at least 3 months after the decision is issued. We therefore recommend an annual policy. If it expires during the proceedings, you must provide a new one.
